ClimACT physical game – The Role Play Game on Biodiversity and Climate Change
The ClimACT team just released one of our educational tools ! A role play game about biodiversity and ClimACT change. This role play game was created by Bruno Pinto from the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon. For the ClimACT project, it’s the municipality of La Rochelle who design and edited the game.
In this game, students represent different characters to discuss a theme related to the conservation of biodiversity and climate change. There are four possible themes : wind energy, native forest, wildfire and water resources. This game is recommended for youngsters between 13 and 17 years of old.
The activity consists of simulating a public discussion in a fictitious Town Hall from the state of Terra Nova, in which there are two options under discussion.
Today, this game is available in free download for all teachers or youth leaders who want to work on this thematic. Please feel free to share it with you pairs !
Go to the “Gamification” sector, inside the “Gateway – Educational Platform”, and you can download the game in four languages (portuguese, spanish, french and english)
