AACT-Air conference in La Rochelle
AACT-Air is a national research program granted by the French environmental protection agency (ADEME). The scope of this program is to improve air quality in cities, including outdoor and indoor air quality issues. Call for projects are launched every year or two years, and a national conference is organized by ADEME every two years in order to present the results of granted projects. One project coordinated by the City of La Rochelle (IMPACTAIR), and another one coordinated by University of La Rochelle (INCITAIR), were among the winning projects of the 2014 call.
In recognition of its implication in the field of air quality, La Rochelle was selected as the place to hold the 2016 conference, on October 5th-6th (venue: Pôle Communication, multimédia et réseaux de l’Université de La Rochelle, 44 avenue Albert Einstein). Around 100 stakeholders coming from all over France attended this event. P. Blondeau (ULR) and B. Cormerais (VLR) were the first speakers.
The opportunity came to speak about ClimACT in the discussions following the presentations, since both the IMPACTAIR and INCITAIR projects were dealing with IAQ in schools. Besides, C. Berthier and P. Blondeau installed a stand in the conference lobby, with ClimACT posters, as a way to provide information about the project.
